Funding - Club

Charity Bank is a specialist loan provider for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations.

As a bank, and a charity, it is uniquely placed to help. As a bank, it offers affordable finance to organisations that might not be able to borrow from commercial lenders, and which could otherwise struggle to survive. And as a charity, it understands the sector, and the importance of having access to the resources or skills required for a more secure future.

It offers loan finance solutions, from ?50,000 to over ?1 million, for a variety of needs: such as working capital or short-term loans against delayed grants; buying or refurbishing a property, or in order to capitalise on opportunities, such as the 2012 Olympics.

One of its borrowers is Queensbury Celtic Football Club, which offers football training to young people in Bradford. Transformed from a plot of land to three pitches and a clubhouse, it recently borrowed ?75,000 to complete the building of new indoor training facilities, saving on the cost of hiring out space, and enabling funds to be used for the continued development of the club.

Alongside its loans service, the team runs an investment readiness programme, thanks to the support of Yorkshire Forward, comprising a series of workshops aimed at charitable sector organisations considering loan finance.
