Get dancing at Skipton & Knaresborough Castle with Ascendance Rep.

Professional dance company Ascendance Rep will be performing an exciting new dance piece at Skipton Castle (Sat 21^st Aug) and Knaresborough Castle (Sun 22^nd Aug) funded by Arts Council England. The company of all ages (3- 70 years) will be dancing in the Castle to the enchanting sounds of international harp guitarist Jason Carter www.jasoncarter.net/ an opportunity not to be missed. The dance piece will be inspired by Ascendance Rep’s investigation into the Castle heritage, ambience, contours and lines, during a 2 week residency in the Castles. This is a fun day out for all the family with dance workshops, games, face painting, dressing up, professional and community dance.

If you are interested in learning some fun dance moves take part in a family workshop designed for all ages (7years + ).

22^nd Aug Knaresborough Castle 1.00pm – 2.00pm

Ascendance Rep is also running youth dance summer sessions where you will have the opportunity to work towards a performance at the Castle along side the company.
