NSPCC / CPSU Policies
THE ROLE OF THE CHILD PROTECTION IN SPORT UNIT (CPSU)
The CPSU was jointly established by Sport England and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). It has been responsible for:
the Action Plan’s promotion and the coordination of
its implementation
the development and delivery of sports-related child
protection resources
provision of advice and support to a wide range of sport
and leisure organisations.
The CPSU has already made a signifi cant contribution to advancing the awareness and ability of sport to contribute to safeguarding children and young people
