Yorkshire Course Information

All coach education courses organised and delivered through Carnegie Sports Awards are offered throughout the Yorkshire region based on requirements of local gymnastic clubs and individuals
each year.

As of January 2007, British Gymnastics qualifications will be endorsed by the UK Coaching Certificate and courses will be offered at the following levels:

  • Level 1 Assistant Coach
  • Level 2 Coach 

In the following disciplines: 

  • Acrobatics
  • Men’s Artistic
  • Trampolining
  • Women’s Artistic
  • General Gymnastics
  • Pre-School

Under each level listed, there is a brief outline of the course content together with any pre-requisites, minimum age and course fees to pay. There is also a list of course dates, times and duration, along with
venue and examination details.

Access to Learning and Skills Council funding for these courses enables Carnegie Sports Awards to
offer 3 levels of fees to all customers over 16 years.

Unfortunately LSC funding is not available to any applicants under 16 years. Please see the appropriate fees for 14-16 year olds under each Assistant level course.
