York University Development Centre for talented 16 - 19yr olds in North Yorkshire
The Development Centre is an opportunity for talented Rugby players in York and the surrounding area to benefit from a study programme linked to their own Rugby development.
Students must undertake a full time programme of study, whether that be A/AS Levels, National Diploma's, GNVQ's or any other course that the college offers. 95% of courses on offer at the college fit in with the three Development Centres. The Rugby Development Centre is the first of its kind in the Region.
The Rugby Development Centre will combine a first class education in a chosen subject(s) or field with a top quality Rugby Education. Students involved with the Development Centre will train for approximately 8 hours per week, including playing matches against their colleges on a Wednesday afternoon, with the rest of the time made up of regular colleges lectures.
York College wants every player to attain academic
success as well as sporting achievement.
