Touch Rugby on the Stray
The Rugby Football Union (RFU) are inviting organisations within Harrogate and the surrounding areas to get involved in an O2 Corporate Touch Rugby Event.
The event aims to target all abilities, and all experience is welcome. You can enter male, female, and mixed sides. There is maximum of 10 in a squad with 6 playing at one time, with rolling subs. You can enter as many sides as you want. The referees on the day will be able to coach your side while they are playing, with fun and enjoyment being the main focus of the event.
The events are taking place on the following dates:
- Wednesday 15th August
- Wednesday 22nd August
- Wednesday 29th August

Each year more than 15,000 adults of all ages and abilities play touch rugby in men’s, women’s and mixed formats of the game. Its non-contact, there are no scrums, no line-outs, no rucks and no mauls. It’s a great introduction to rugby and a great way to ease back into sport after a long spell out. A fast, simple and exciting game, it promotes the fundamental rugby skills of handling, evasion, and support play, without the physicality of the 15 a-side game.
