School Games Badminton a great success

Wednesday the 8th of March saw the School Games level 4 competition take place.

North Yorkshire Sport once again hosted the event at the York Railway Institute in central York.

All the winners from the previous round held in February were in attendance looking to take the regional title, and the competition did not disappoint!

North Yorkshire was proudly represented by Wensleydale (KS3 boys and girls) and Huntington School (KS4 boys and girls) who finished a commendable 4th overall, with a number of thrilling matches throughout the day. Congratulations to them for reaching the regional finals.

The winners on the day will be playing at the National final in Milton Keynes n May.

Lucy Psarias managed the event for North Yorkshire Sport commented, 'We saw a great day of competition here at the York Railway Institute with a number of closely fought matches. The schools all did their county proud, and we wish all the best to the winners when they reach the national finals in May'.
