Brief Sporting History:

For me, sporting isn't just about playing a sport but more about the club and team environment. I've been part of football, rugby, cheerleading and most recently roller derby clubs and love being part of a welcoming and friendly club.

As Head of Training, my role was to develop strategy for training and game play as well as create a structure and plan for developing our members – both individually and as a team.

In my current role of Chair, my job is to oversee the sustainability of our club, set the vision and help all our members to achieve what they want out of the club – whether that be access to a social network of new friends, high level competition, being part of a thriving team or improving their own personal fitness – just to name a few.

Areas of Expertise:

Sustainability – financial reporting and forecasting

Contract Negotiation – ensuring the club is leveraging their power when securing training / game venues, sponsorship agreements or consumables.

Marketing – helping to attract the right members for the club and focus efforts in advertising to appeal to that market

Graphic Design – creating professional looking flyers, posters and online content to help with marketing efforts

Strategic Direction – supporting club directors to create a plan for the club which will inspire its members, attract more interest and help to grow and maintain necessary levels of involvement for long term success

Training Strategy & Delivery – creating plans and templates for consistency in training and development – the structure behind great sessions focussed on the trainee experience while making use of great training techniques.
