Clubmark
For sport to develop, the quality of club activity is essential. Clubmark is used by National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) of sport as part of their club accreditation programme. It is aimed primarily for clubs with junior sections to ensure an environment and culture appropriate for Young people, in addition it is nationally recognised as the mark of a quality club.
How will it benefit your club?
By reaching this national standard your sports club will benefit in a number of ways, through:

- Support from Sports Development Professionals
- Development for the future
- Development of Coaches, leading to increased performance and success.
- Development of Volunteers
- Increase in club profile
- Feature on local and national databases
- A greater chance of obtaining grant funding
North Yorkshire Sport recognizes that Club Accreditation massively assists the development of Sport and contributes to the increase of levels of Participation in Young People and Adults.
How can North Yorkshire Sport help?
Clubs working towards Accreditation can receive help and advice from their NGB, Local Authority Sports Development Team, their County Sports Partnership and Sport England. This can be through, resources, advice, workshops and information.

How to get involved.
Clubs need to register with their individual sport National Governing Body accreditation scheme. By reaching the standards, clubs will be awarded their National Governing Body club accreditation mark as well as the cross-sport Clubmark award.
North Yorkshire Sport may also be able to accredit your club, depending on your sport and which NGB you are affiliated to. Fill in the form below to register your interest in Club Mark quality accreditation.
