Coaches are essential at all levels of sport - without coaches, people across the county would not have the opportunity to enjoy and progress in their favourite sports and activities.
Being a coach is a rewarding experience - giving you new skills, enjoyment and the satisfaction of seeing people develop.
You may have come into coaching to help the club your children attend, or because you want to put something back into your sport or the community.
Whatever the reason, sport needs coaches to introduce people to sport and develop their skills. Not every coach will work with elite athletes, but quality coaching at all stages of a performer's development will give them a chance to reach their full potential and - more importantly - enjoy their sport.
When you take your first steps in coaching it can seem a bit daunting. This Toolkit sets out the opportunities, possibilities and support available in the Humber to support your journey as a coach.
