1st4Sport Level 2 Award in Multi Skills Development in Sport

This course is to upskill existing Level 2 sport-specific coaches in multi-skills development in sport. This would complement an established coach looking to develop young learners in their sport-specific context, or looking to deliver multi-skills development in sport to all ages. Learners working to complete (or have already completed) a Physical Education and School Sport qualification may find this qualification useful too.

This qualification is designed for those who wish to become involved in delivering multi-skills as an independent coach, and wish to take responsibility for the ongoing development of participants at a variety of ages in this area. Individuals operating within Physical Education and School Sport across the curriculum may wish to undertake this qualification. This is a qualification for individuals without any coaching experience and do not meet the pre-requisites for the 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport.

Keeping Safe Online: Advice, information and support for sports organisations

This webinar will explore the benefits and risks of social media for sports clubs and organisations. It will provide helpful guidelines, examples and tools to enable sports to help children and young people to make safe use of social media opportunities.

Sports Emergency First Aid

These courses are 3 hour workshops designed for grassroots sports coaches, ensuring they learn the skills necessary to respond to an ill or injured athlete. Whether in training or at a game, coaches learn to give the appropriate care, prior to the arrival of professional responders.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children Course

Location: York RI New Lane, New Lane, York, North Yorkshire, YO24 4NX

This workshop aims to increase the awareness of safeguarding and protecting children and helps coaches to recognise possible signs of abuse and deal sensitively and effectively with issues that arise. It also prompts a review of practice to ensure that sport provides an enriching experience for children, and that coaches' behaviour is always above reproach.
