England Netball excited to bring you a new, innovative SEN & Leadership Programme - Blended Netball!
It's a secondary school, peer to peer programme designed for mainstream girls to deliver netball to girls with special educational needs within their schools.
Designed to develop life/interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication and empathy, in line with other leadership programmes such as Duke of Edinburgh, it will provide netball for pupils who may not otherwise be involved in the sport. As more opportunities to be active resume, new guidance released today will help providers to enable welcoming, and more accessible environments. Activity Alliance has published Reopening Activity: An inclusive response, in consultation with partners across sport, leisure and disability equality. During this testing time, the Activity Alliance remain committed to ensuring disabled people can be and stay active. So, while you can't go to your favourite weekly exercise class or make a splash at the local swimming pool, there's lots of ways you can enjoy being active. This weekend (14-15 March 2020) more than 100 British swimming hopefuls make a splash at Activity Alliance's National Junior Para-Swimming Championships. It will be the second time Sunderland has hosted this event.
For many, the Championships are a starting block for national competition. A well-established part of the swimming pathway, many top world and Paralympic medallists discovered their talent at this event.
In this short course event, 10-18 years old compete in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Individual Medley and Butterfly. Read More »
