British Blind Sport announce “Live Workout Week”

British Blind Sport are pleased to announce their "Live Workout Week"; a week of accessible, audio described workouts delivered directly into the homes of the nation via Zoom.

Whilst at-home workouts and routines are becoming increasingly popular, it has been found that there is a lack of content with sufficient audio description to allow people with a visual impairment to take part fully and confidently. Young para-swimming hopefuls go head to head in Sunderland

This weekend (14-15 March 2020) more than 100 British swimming hopefuls make a splash at Activity Alliance's National Junior Para-Swimming Championships. It will be the second time Sunderland has hosted this event.

For many, the Championships are a starting block for national competition. A well-established part of the swimming pathway, many top world and Paralympic medallists discovered their talent at this event.

In this short course event, 10-18 years old compete in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Individual Medley and Butterfly. Read More »

FA Grow the Game Funding

Grow the Game is back for the 10th year in a row with £1.5m available for clubs to turn their aspirations of creating new female and disability teams into reality.

The scheme, which is funded by The FA and Sport England, and delivered by the Football Foundation, prioritises support for traditionally under-represented groups in grassroots football and last year's edition gave approximately 16,000 people the chance to get involved by creating 884 female and 257 disability teams respectively.
