Level 4 Qualification in Supporting Pupils Wellbeing through Physical Education
Who can take part in this award?
Candidates can work at a primary or secondary school, but must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is involved in the teaching of Physical Education.
Through this qualification, I will be able to: -
- Explain the importance of emotional and social wellbeing to pupils' education and wider development
- Recognise current challenges to pupils' emotional and social wellbeing
- Advocate the role of physical education in promoting pupils' emotional and social wellbeing
- Plan, implement and evaluate physical education approaches:
- support pupils' emotional and social wellbeing with their own practice
- enable pupils to take care of their own emotional and social wellbeing
- assist colleagues to support pupils' emotional and social wellbeing in Physical Education - Contribute to promotion of pupils' emotional and social wellbeing across the school.
Cost?
The cost of the Level 4 qualification is £350 for the total 5 sessions.
The qualification is can be funded through the Physical Education and School Sport Premium Grant*; up-skilling primary school teachers it will ensure a sustainable legacy which will impact on children and young people. (* Primary School participants)
How do I study for the qualification?
- Total Qualification Time: 30 hours
- Tutored Time: 10 hours (spread over five x 2-hour online sessions)
- Independent Learning: 20 hours (tasks with a tutored session or in school)
The qualification will be delivered online from April to December 2021, across Summer Term 2021 and Autumn Term 2021.
