ASA North East Region Funding Scheme 2015-2017

The ASA North East Region is pleased to announce a funding scheme for affiliated clubs looking to achieve greater success in aquatics within the North East Region.

The Region are looking to invest in projects, clubs and networks which support the delivery of the outcomes of the 2013-2017 business plan. These will need to demonstrate how they will focus on the delivery of one or more of the following themes: Governance, Talent, Workforce, Participation and Clubs.

All applications will need to demonstrate Need, Impact, Deliverability and Sustainability and have some match funding and/or 'value in kind' funding

Playing Fields Legacy Fund

The Playing Fields Legacy Fund is a small charity established to get more people, especially the young and disadvantaged, playing sport through more effective use of playing fields. • Backing the Best has been developed to support talented young athletes who, because of their family's financial situation, might not get the opportunity to fulfil their sporting potential.
• Backing the Best will help England to develop talent from areas that it might otherwise miss out on. It will help athletes with limited resources realise their potential without having to worry about petrol costs, hotel stays, kit, or even the most basic tools – such as trainers or the right food and nutrition.
• Priority for disabled athletes, females and those from BME backgrounds.
