Joanna Brown Trust

£100 to £1,000

The Joanna Brown Trust provides talented young athletes from across the UK with financial support to help them excel in their chosen sports.

In addition to our funding partnerships with Sport Islington and Sports Aid, The Joanna Brown Trust welcomes applications for grant funding from young people participating in sport.

To apply for a grant from The Joanna Brown Trust please send an email or letter outlining why you should be awarded a grant, how you would use it and how it would benefit you in your chosen sport.

Discovery Grants

up to £5,000

Grants must directly benefit disadvantaged people in the UK and must be for something that is wholly charitable. Funding is available to cover part time salaries, equipment or materials but is for one year and must deliver a local project, not a national initiative. We aim to fund a complete item rather than simply make a contribution to an appeal.

Waitrose Community Matters

£100 to £300

Community Matters is an initiative to enable Waitrose branches to support local communities and application forms can be found on the front of the Community Matters token collection points in Waitrose Branches.

Grants are available for: Welfare organisations, community groups, clubs, schools, local divisions of national charities, local charities

ASA North East Region Funding Scheme 2015-2017

up to £2,000

The ASA North East Region is pleased to announce a funding scheme for affiliated clubs looking to achieve greater success in aquatics within the North East Region.

The Region are looking to invest in projects, clubs and networks which support the delivery of the outcomes of the 2013-2017 business plan. These will need to demonstrate how they will focus on the delivery of one or more of the following themes: Governance, Talent, Workforce, Participation and Clubs.

All applications will need to demonstrate Need, Impact, Deliverability and Sustainability and have some match funding and/or 'value in kind' funding

British Gymnastics Foundation - Hardship Fund

£20 to £5,000

The British Gymnastics Foundation is providing a new Hardship Grant to provide financial support to enable their members to continue to be involved in gymnastics.

East Midlands Netball Grant

East Midlands Netball will support their affiliated members by providing subsidies and mentoring opportunities to help develop coaches; tutors; umpires; volunteers and players across the region.

Clothworkers' Foundation – UK

The Clothworkers’ Foundation aims through its funding to improve the quality of life, particularly for people and communities facing disadvantage.

True Colours Trust

Trustees of the Trust are committed to supporting a large number of excellent local organisations and projects that support disabled children and their families on a daily basis.

Screwfix Foundation are offering funding to registered charities to fix/maintain/improve community facilities within the UK.

London Marathon Charitable Trust - Small Capital Projects

The Trust funds capital projects which provide or improve facilities for recreation or leisure in London, Surrey and Aylesbury Vale

Big Lottery Fund - Reaching Communities England (reopened)

£10,000 to £500,000

After pausing the fund for three months, the Big Lottery Fund has reopened their £190 million programme.

Awards for All England

£300 to £10,000

Financial assistance is available for voluntary groups, schools, local authorities and health bodies in England to carry out projects that will improve their local community.

Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation - Donor Matching Scheme

up to £3,000

Grants are available to local charitable groups for small local projects that benefit the communities of Leicestershire and Rutland.

Tesco Local Community Fund

up to £12,000

Tesco's Local Community Grants scheme is open for applications. This new scheme is funded by the proceeds of carrier bag charges and is being administered for Tesco by Groundwork.

One Family Foundation Community Awards

The OneFamily Foundation is a way of redistributing profits – an amount too small to make a meaningful difference if shared out to each and every customer. But, when pooled together, we have the chance to do something special – to make something better for those that matter most to us in our families or communities. Tenants of Yorkshire Housing properties can apply for community engagement grants up to £500 to support community activities.

The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation
