North Yorkshire Sport recognise that Finance and Funding is a vital aspect for any club or organisation and the current economic climate has made the environment even more challenging.
We know that finding funding is a difficult and time consuming task and can often become a barrier to clubs, and participants so we hope the information included within this section of our website can help to point you in the right direction.
There are a number of sources of funding for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaches to apply for and you can use our funding finder below to search through local, regional and national funding opportunities. It is recommended that before completing application forms it is worth contacting the organisation concerned and talking through your plan or project.
North Yorkshire Sport can act as a sounding board for applications, offer pre-assessment of Sport England submissions and provide letters of support. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Many of our clubs and organisations have been hard hit by lockdown with fundraising events and activities cancelled so we are launching a new opportunity to generate additional income for your club.
North Yorkshire Sport works in partnership with fundraising website easyfundraising. It's a very simple idea – register your club or group as a good cause with easyfundraising to collect cashback donations when anyone connected to the club shops online with 4000 well known retailers including Amazon, eBay, Wickes, Argos, John Lewis & Partners, Sweaty Betty, Booking.com, Trainline, Just Eat and M&S.
It's free to register and over 25,000 sports clubs are already using the scheme to fund their equipment costs, coaching qualifications and other running costs.
- Free to register and use
- Regular, on-going revenue stream for your club
- Easy to set up and requires minimal management
- Rated 4.6 stars on Trustpilot
An average online shopper could easily earn your club £30 per year through easyfundraising. Multiply that by the number of people connected to your activity and you can see how beneficial this can be.
To get started, you simply need to register your club with easyfundraising here and create your club's fundraising page.
Once registered, you'll be assigned a fundraising coach, to give you as much support as you need to spread the word to your club network and help you raise as much as possible.
Return to Play: Active Together
Crowdfunder and Sport England have teamed up to make £2.5 million of match funding available to help the sport and physical activity sector through the ongoing coronavirus crisis and with the safe return to play.
We're encouraging not for profit organisations who play an important role in keeping their community physically active to get involved.
If your sports club has experienced short term financial difficulty, or needs to adapt how it operates, due to the pandemic follow the link below to start setting up a crowdfunding campaign and apply for up to £10,000 match funding today.
If you have already started a crowdfunding campaign you can apply for the match funding via your Crowdfunder dashboard.
