A new and exciting opportunity has arisen at Derbyshire Dales District Council for an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our Community Development team. The role of Community Development Officer is to develop and deliver an insight led, community development programme of engagement which builds strong and sustainable relationships with communities across Derbyshire Dales. The successful candidate will also oversee the development of parks and opens spaces across the District, utilising internal and external resources in order to sustain or enhance them.

About Community Development Officer
We are looking for driven and motivated individuals, passionate about the community in the Derbyshire Dales. We welcome applications from those who thrive on new challenges and the opportunity to make change and develop the local community.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of managing contracts, community development work and parks and open spaces initiatives. They will work closely with organisations and communities to improve develop our open spaces and to consult with our residents.
This position is based in the Community Development department in the District Council Offices, Matlock.
