About Deputy Chief Executive Officer
The Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire is the strategic lead for physical activity and sport across the two counties. Our purpose is to 'create a more active and healthier Herefordshire and Worcestershire by enabling a thriving, sustainable environment of physical activity and sport'.
We are part of a national network of Active Partnerships and we are currently in a position to recruit for a Deputy Chief Executive following a realignment of the Partnership's structure.
Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire is seeking a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to take ownership of and leadership of the Partnership's operational delivery plan, ensuring that there is a coordinated, collaborative alignment between all work areas and that the priorities of key stakeholders are taken into account.
We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic and high performing team who can bring with them a passion for developing and creating opportunities to engage with inactive populations together with empathy in terms of the barriers that this population may face in order to become active.
This role will require you to work with a varied range of local partners and stakeholders at various levels of seniority so the ability to engage and network will be crucial. You will have experience of leading and inspiring a team as the post requires the line management of several posts.
An ability to work under pressure with excellent time management is essential as the post holder will have to manage multiple priorities across their portfolio as well as be able to influence areas outside of their direct line management responsibilities and draw together the operational plan. You will be a self-starter with good team building and networking skills, which will be critical to this role.
