Social Return on Investment
The Satellite Club initiative was launched by Sport England in 2013. It brings together existing community sports clubs and new venues in colleges, schools and community contexts. The community club (known as the 'hub' club) sets up an 'extension' in a new venue, with coaches and volunteers linked to the hub club delivering activities to participants with an aim to engage young people who would not otherwise participate in community sport.
The document highlights the work of the organisation and the impact it has had on the health and wellbeing of the residents of North Yorkshire. For the first time the report is structured around six Key Research Questions (KRQ's) which guide our work to ensure we are driving positive change through sport and physical activity.
North Yorkshire Sport are tackling inequalities through sport by helping to create better futures and improve health.

Come and get involved in Dalby Forest's GO Tri event! Dalby Duathlon @ Addestone Field will involve a 2.5km run, a 7.5km cycle, followed by a 1km run to cross that finish line! A great course in a fantastic location. All abilities welcome. We would recommend a mountain bike or a hybrid bike if you have one. The race is not a timed event however you are free to take your own times
