England Athletics Release Three Different Coaching Bursaries

England Athletics have several coaching bursaries schemes available to individuals who are keen to develop themselves further within the athletics and running community, in the North and West Yorkshire area.

There are three different types of bursaries available:

  1. 15 Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) bursaries in North and West Yorkshire open to clubs/groups wanting to cater for more runners, however don't have the leader support or capacity.
  2. Six CiRF bursaries worth £127.50 (50% off EA affiliated course) in North and West Yorkshire. This grant is aimed to upskill experienced run leaders linked to club/group and willing to provide more advanced coaching sessions.
  3. Four Athletics Coaches bursaries for females worth £155 (around 65% off EA affiliated course) in North Yorkshire only. This scheme is linked to our national Women in Coaching project. It is aimed at females who currently hold a coaching assistant or level 1 and are looking to become an Athletics Coach.

If you would like further information or would like to apply for the bursary, please follow the links below:

If successful in receiving a bursary award you will be expected to complete all aspects of the qualification within the 12-month time frame. *Please note we can only accept bursary applications from coaches who have not yet enrolled onto a course.

As there are a limited number of bursaries available, applications will be assessed by a panel on their strength. Successful bursary applications will be notified by Friday 2nd December.

If you think you meet the criteria above then please complete the online bursary forms through the links above before Monday 21st November 2016, 5pm.
