Winner revealed for the North Yorkshire Sport School Games Medal Competition

North Yorkshire Sport would like to say a huge congratulations to Isabella Welford from Ainderby Steeple C of E Primary School, who is the winner of the North Yorkshire Sport School Games Medal Competition!

The county wide competition aimed at primary school children, asked entrants to use their imagination and creativity to produce a design which represented what the School Games meant to them. Isabella who is 9 years old, will see her award-winning design come to life later this year when her artwork is featured on the 2018 North Yorkshire School Games medals.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who entered the competition, our judges were extremely impressed by the creativity and imagination shown by all entrants. Also, a big thank you to all the schools for supporting your pupils to enter the North Yorkshire Sport School Games Medal Competition, we had a tremendous amount of entries and greatly appreciate all the hard work.

Isabella will be invited to attend the School Games event as a VIP guest, which will be held at Queen Margaret's School, Escrick on Sunday 8th July 2018. At the event she will be presented with her award of a Kindle Fire and an honorary medal featuring her winning design.
