Huge success for Dalby Forest's first Canicross event

North Yorkshire Sport and Dalby Forest would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in our first ever Canicross event.

Despite the cold and frosty weather, we had a huge turnout with over 80 runners and even more furry friends. A massive congratulations to Adele Antcliff who won with a time of 15 minutes 41 seconds, closely followed by Robin Lavin in 2nd place and Andrew Harris in 3rd place. The morning was a fantastic experience that brought runners from all over the North together with all kinds of dog breeds, one participant commented "we thoroughly enjoyed this morning's event, loved the mud, both me and my dog Stumpy had a great time. Everyone really friendly and like-minded. Thank you, I really hope there are more events in the future".

Another runner also commented on what a fun time they had, "me and Jack the dog loved it, are there anymore in the future? All the volunteers and staff were really friendly, and a really well organised event, so thank you!'.

On the success of this event we plan to organise more events in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for further info.
