A fantastic year of Canicross events at Dalby Forest
Posted: Mon, 29 Oct 2018 14:14
Dog owners from across the North emerged on Dalby Forest yesterday for the final Canicross event of 2018. On what was a bright, autumnal morning the event brought together runners and their four-legged friends for a morning of fun, with the option of either a 5k or 8k.
Since Dalby's first Canicross event all the way back in February, interest in the sport has soared, and this year has seen four awesome Canicross events at the forest. It seems many participants have caught the Canicross bug, as some runners returned for all 4 events!
One runner commented "A massive thank you to you and the team for organising yet another fantastic event. We both thoroughly enjoyed the morning run and it all went so smoothly due to it being so well organised. I'm already looking forward to the 2019 events".
Another said "Many thanks Amy and the rest of your team for another great event yesterday. Stan and I really enjoyed it and we're both looking forward to seeing you again next February. It's great that you welcome super fit athletes, as well as people of all shapes and sizes, and I wasn't the only OAP either!".
So, to round off a fantastic year we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported North Yorkshire Sport and Dalby Forest at these events. We will be back in the new year, when Canicross at Dalby Forest is going to be even bigger and even better… keep your eyes peeled for updates.
