Ryedale Safeguarding Event - May 2019

A free safeguarding awareness event for sports and activity clubs operating in the District of Ryedale is taking place in May 2019.

The training course will provide clubs with support to ensure their child and adult safeguarding processes and procedures are up to date and in place.

It's being run by Ryedale District Council in partnership with North Yorkshire Sport, Everyone Active, North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire County Council's Adult & Children's services.

Beckie Bennett, Ryedale District Council's Safeguarding Lead said "this is an excellent opportunity for all sports and recreational clubs and organisations in Ryedale to gain important up to date information covering their child and adult safeguarding arrangements and encourage as many people to attend this free event which is open to any coach (qualified or unqualified), volunteer, committee member or participant within the clubs."

There will also be an opportunity to ask the agencies present relevant questions.
