FREE Online Mental Health Awareness Course

This four session, free, online course is open to anyone who identifies as male aged between 16-20.
Here is a brief outline of what is covered in each session.
Session 1 - Health & Emotions
– What does 'healthy' look like?
KEYWORDS
Ups and downs | Making assumptions | Expressing feelings
This session will cover:
- The Difference between Emotional and Physical Health
- The ups and downs in health that everyone experiences
- Assumptions we make about emotional health of other without knowing what's really going on
- How to talk about Emotional Health- for ourselves and others
- Recognising that our feelings are individual and unique
Session 2 - Managing Stress & Making Choices
KEYWORDS
Decision Making Matters | Asking for Help| Positive Outcomes
This session will learn:
- that we all have control over how we react to a challenge or stress
-to understand the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviour
- to use problem-solving skills
- that how we react and cope is individual to each of us
Session 3 - Building Resilience
KEYWORDS
Coping with setbacks | Tools to cope
Key message: Sometimes we use the coping strategies we know and have used before. At other times we need to ask for help. If you feel lonely or isolated or are going through a difficult time, reach out to someone for support.
This session will cover:
- that there is a range of coping strategies that can be helpful
- to understand that everyone experiences difficult times and feelings
- that resilience is about working through challenging times.
Session 4 - Knowing Where To Turn

Asking for Help| Barriers To Asking For Help | Moving forward
This session will cover:
- that we all have control over how we react to a challenge or stress
-to understand the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviour
- to use problem-solving skills
- that how we react and cope is individual to each of us
