Today, Sport England opens its National Leisure Recovery Fund to expressions of interest from eligible local authorities with outsourced leisure provision to assist the reopening and recovery of the public leisure sector and prevent further closures of outsourced leisure trusts and operators.
The fund will drive the sustainability of leisure facilities nation-wide because the detail submitted will help Sport England and Government to understand what further support is needed to protect £6.4 billion of social value created by leisure facilities.
