School-Club links aim to create many opportunities for young people to take part in sport inside and outside of school.
Formal links between sports clubs and schools can be a great way to encourage children to continue playing sport after school and also create a pathway toward competitive and elite sport.
North Yorkshire Sport can support the formation of a school-club link which we see as a mutually beneficial partnership between a school and community club. Numerous definitions of school-club links are available. Effectively, the purpose of a school-club link is to provide a pathway from school sport to community (club) sport, to enable young people to actively engage in sport in both environments as participants, volunteers, coaches and/or officials. They can provide many benefits to schools, clubs and pupils;
