City of York - Sports Coaches in Schools Guidance
Introduction
This page and the City of York Sports Coaches in Schools Guidance has been co-produced by City of York Council and North Yorkshire Sport to assist and support schools in the safe recruitment and use of sports coaches.
City of York Council no longer runs the Coach ID card scheme and therefore does not endorse any individual to deliver under its banner. City of York also no longer process DBS checks for coaches. In light of this, schools are encouraged to follow their own safe recruitment processes when employing and deploying sports coaches in schools.
